"I'm a simple person," Cherki said. "I like to joke, I like to please my coach, and I like to please the people who come to the stadium. I've said it many times, and I'll continue to say it."

Cherki also acknowledged that, like anyone, he has his share of ups and downs on the pitch. However, he expressed his desire to improve and do better, stating that he is "not satisfied with my myself."
