McFarlane joined Chelsea from Southampton in the summer, taking over after Filipe Coelho left for Strasbourg.
He shared his thoughts on the team's progress, stating that it's been a challenging but rewarding experience.
"It's been really enjoyable, but it's also been tough," McFarlane said.
"The schedule has been intense, with games every three days unless there's an international break.
"We've had to be creative with managing the team's schedule, focusing on keeping the players sharp and physically prepared for the next game."
McFarlane highlighted the team's strong start to the season, winning their first three league games and setting a positive tone.
"The performance against Manchester City was a highlight, as we beat last season's champions with control and style," he said.
"The way we started the season has given the players belief that they can compete at the highest level."
McFarlane also mentioned the team's experience playing against Bayern Munich after the international break, which gave the players a great experience and a chance to test themselves against a top-level opponent.
