Tardelli hopes David will be successful in Turin and acknowledges the Canadian striker's impressive goal-scoring record in France. However, he warned that the level of competition in Serie A is significantly higher than in Ligue 1.
"Juventus is a different team from Lille," Tardelli said. "If David asked me for advice, I would tell him that at Juventus, you need to score goals and win. It's not easy, but it's a challenge he should be ready to face."
On the topic of Dusan Vlahovic's potential free transfer, Tardelli emphasized that it would not be beneficial for either party. He suggested that Vlahovic and Juventus should find a compromise to resolve the situation.
"Leaving on a free transfer is not in anyone's best interest," Tardelli said. "Vlahovic needs to play regularly to maintain his national team spot, especially with the World Cup approaching. I think the club and player should talk and find a way to end the situation amicably."
As for what to do with Vlahovic, Tardelli jokingly suggested that Juventus could sell him to AC Milan if they need to cash in. However, he made it clear that a free transfer would not be an option.
