Young was close to rejoining his boyhood club, Watford, but the two parties were unable to agree on the terms, and the move did not go through.

It is reported that Young will now join Ipswich Town, a club managed by Kieran McKenna, who was part of the coaching staff during Young's time at Manchester United.

Ipswich Town recently lost their spot in the Premier League and are aiming to return to the top tier in the 2025-26 season.
