"It's difficult to answer this question because I'm still a fan of the central defenders and impressed by the full-backs," Petit said. "Bukayo Saka has been injured for a while and hasn't been at his best lately. He's still an important player for the team, but if he can regain his form from the past two or three seasons, it would be a big boost for Arsenal."
Arsenal will shift its focus to the Champions League on Wednesday, traveling to Club Brugge. Saka will likely start, but Petit believes Declan Rice will be the key player in the midfield against Club Brugge.
"I'm very happy with the Spanish midfield players, and Declan Rice is enjoying himself and playing at his best level," Petit said. "He was impressive against Bayern Munich, and it's hard to choose just one player when the team is performing so well together."
Despite the team's strong overall performance, Petit singled out Rice as a key player who has made a significant impact since joining the club two years ago.
"Since Declan Rice arrived at the club, I think something has changed, and I like this guy a lot," Petit said.
Rice has been a crucial player for Arsenal, and his presence has contributed to the team's success this season. His performance will be even more important as the team navigates the busy holiday period.
