"It's a night for the supporters, but a long night for them because for 80 minutes we had to put up a wonderful defensive show and get a result," Moyes said.
Moyes praised his team's performance, saying they played well in the first half and continued to create chances in the second half, despite the difficult circumstances.
"The second half became much more difficult, which we expected," Moyes said. "But the resilience and determination, commitment amongst the players is great."
Moyes also commended his team's goalkeeper and defenders for their role in securing a clean sheet, which was their second in a row after the previous game against Fulham.
"We had a clean sheet against Fulham in the last game. We've come and won here at Old Trafford, which has not been an easy place to come and win," Moyes said.
Moyes expressed his surprise at Gueye's red card, saying he couldn't understand the decision and thought it was a harsh call.
"I couldn't understand it because I don't think anybody would have expected that," Moyes said.
Moyes acknowledged that Gueye's behavior was a result of his passion and desire to win, and praised the team's overall performance and result.
"I think everyone was looking at it and thinking it was two players getting together and, if you want to know, I quite like it when my players have a bit of a fight with each other because it shows they care," Moyes said.
Moyes concluded by saying that his team would move on from the controversy surrounding Gueye's red card and focus on their next match.
"We move on," Moyes said.
