Bowen acknowledged that the team needs to improve collectively, stating that everyone on the pitch shares the responsibility for their performance. He pointed out that it's not just one group or position that's failing, but rather a combination of factors.
"It's not just the defenders, midfielders, or strikers who need to improve," Bowen said. "We all need to work together and do better. We know we can press better, and we need to do that consistently."
Bowen also acknowledged that the players are ultimately responsible for their performance, and that the manager can only do so much. He emphasized the importance of keeping the ball out of the net and scoring in the other net, which he felt the team was not doing well enough.
"As captain, I'm frustrated with the way we've started the season, and I share that responsibility," Bowen said. "It's down to me to get a reaction from everyone, and I'm committed to doing that."
