Forest's owner, Evangelos Marinakis, and global director, Edu, traveled to Italy over the weekend to negotiate the deal directly with Bologna's directors. This face-to-face approach helped to secure the agreement.
Napoli were also interested in signing Ndoye, but Forest's persistence has paid off. The English club is expected to complete the transfer soon.
Ndoye's arrival at Forest will mark a significant signing, replacing former winger Anthony Elanga who joined Newcastle United for £55 million.
