Fulham continued to create scoring opportunities, with Harry Wilson's efforts from long range the closest they came to doubling their lead in the first half. The visitors' struggles continued to worsen as the game progressed.
Wolves' woes deepened in the final 10 minutes of the first half, when Josh King chased a ball over the top and was brought down by Emmanuel Agbadou's clumsy challenge. Referee John Brooks deemed this to be a denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity and issued a red card to the Ivorian player.
The match was goalless until the last action of the first half, when Jørgen Strand Larsen had a header that was straight at Bernd Leno. Wolves struggled to create meaningful chances, with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's tame shot the closest they came before the break.
Fulham was keen to gain breathing space, which Kenny Tete attempted to achieve with a fierce strike from range seven minutes after the restart. However, Sam Johnstone blocked the shot.
Tete's next attempt was a deflected shot following a corner, but Johnstone was unable to save it. Just after the hour mark, Fulham got their second goal when Harry Wilson struck the ball into the bottom corner with a clean first-time shot.
The hosts sealed their first three points since 20th September with 15 minutes left when a quick counter-attack on the left ended with Sessegnon squaring the ball across goal, which Yerson Mosquera inadvertently diverted into his own net.
Late in the game, Samuel Chukwueze hit the post, and Fulham earned their first win in six games against teams starting the day in the bottom three. Wolves, meanwhile, are now 14 league games without a win, dating back to last season.
