Arsenal Secure Narrow Win Over Wolverhampton Wanderers - AsianBookie News Arsenal Secure Narrow Win Over Wolverhampton Wanderers

Arsenal secured a narrow 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League match, thanks to a 94th-minute winner. This victory extends the Gunners' winning streak against Wolverhampton to nine matches. The match saw the Gunners dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities, but the visitors were determined to defend. João Gomes showcased his commitment to defending by taking a boot to the face from Eberechi Eze.

Declan Rice had a chance to score from a Saka cross, but his header was not convincing. Arsenal continued to focus their attacks down the right side.

Despite their control of the game, Wolverhampton had their first shot on target in the 27th minute when Hwang Hee-chan sprinted away from Arsenal's defenders and shot at goal, but David Raya made an easy save.

Ben White was forced to leave the game due to injury shortly after, which was a concern for manager Mikel Arteta.

The hosts continued to press for a goal, with Jørgen Strand Larsen blocking a shot from Bukayo Saka before Gabriel Martinelli had two chances, one of which was deflected behind.

As the first half drew to a close, there was frustration at the Emirates Stadium, with a Piero Hincapié block required to deny Strand Larsen in stoppage time.

The second half began similarly, with the hosts creating chances and the visitors taking a lot of time to get the ball back into play, resulting in boos from the crowd.

Martinelli had a rare moment of speed, beating Matt Doherty, but his shot went wide. He was later substituted, along with two other players, as part of a triple change by Arteta.

Viktor Gyökeres had a header go wide before Emmanuel Agabdou blocked a shot from Mikel Merino. Sam Johnstone, the Wolves goalkeeper, had a quiet first 65 minutes, but then made two excellent saves to deny Declan Rice.

However, Johnstone was unfortunate as he tipped Saka's corner onto the post, and the ball bounced back into the net, breaking the deadlock and securing the win for Arsenal.
