The upcoming weekend in the Premier League promises to be an exciting one, with several high-profile new signings potentially making their debuts.

With a record-breaking £3 billion spent on new players during the summer transfer window, anticipation is building for some of the biggest signings to take to the pitch. Some will go on to become legends, while others may struggle to adapt. For now, let's take a look at five players who could make a significant impact in their Premier League debut.

5. Nick Woltemade – Newcastle

Newcastle United's Eddie Howe finally landed his new striker, Nick Woltemade, in the final stages of the transfer window. The 6'6" forward has already made a name for himself in the Under-21 European Championship, scoring six goals and providing three assists in six games. However, the Premier League is a different beast, and Woltemade will need to adapt to a new style of play.

Woltemade is more than just his height, though. He's a skilled player who can drop deeper and play as a number ten if needed. His ability to link play and create chances is impressive, averaging 1.2 key passes per match in the Bundesliga. While he may need time to adjust to the Premier League, he has the potential to be a huge success.

4. Alejandro Garnacho – Chelsea

Alejandro Garnacho made the switch from Manchester United to Chelsea for a reported £40 million. While fans may have been relieved to see the back of him due to off-field issues, there's no denying Garnacho's talent on the pitch. During his time at United, he produced some memorable moments, including a Puskas Award-winning bicycle kick against Everton.

Garnacho may not always make the right pass or be as clinical in front of goal, but he's a fan favorite who can get bums off seats. With his speed and skill, he's sure to make an impact in the Chelsea squad.

3. Xavi Simons – Tottenham

Tottenham's search for a new poster boy ended with the signing of Xavi Simons. The young attacking midfielder had agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but Tottenham swooped in to secure his services. With Heung-Min Son no longer at the club, Simons will be expected to create chances and score goals.

Simons' biggest strength is his creativity, and with 21 goals and the same number of assists in 78 games for RB Leipzig, his return is proof of his talent. He'll be looking to make an instant impact in the Tottenham squad.

2. Gianluigi Donnarumma – Man City

Gianluigi Donnarumma is one of the world's top goalkeepers, and his arrival at Manchester City will be closely watched. While goalkeepers may not be the most exciting players, Donnarumma's struggles with playing out of the back are well-documented. In comparison to Ederson, City's former number one, Donnarumma's passing accuracy and long ball success rate are lower.

Despite this, Donnarumma is still one of the best 'keepers in the world, with exceptional shot-stopping abilities. His arrival will be interesting to watch, especially with James Trafford's thoughts on the matter.

1. Alexander Isak - Liverpool

Alexander Isak is the most expensive player in British football history, and he's got a lot to prove after a tumultuous summer transfer window. Liverpool's £125 million outlay on the striker is a significant investment, but it's easy to see why they were willing to pay such a high price.

Only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah have scored more than Isak over the past two Premier League seasons. His injury record has been a concern, but he's now Liverpool's number nine, and he'll be looking to make a big impact in the Reds' squad.

The Premier League is full of talented players, and these five new signings are sure to make a big impact in the coming weeks. With their skills and abilities, they'll be looking to make a name for themselves in the world's most competitive league.
