John Textor, a minority shareholder of Crystal Palace, also owns Lyon, another team that has qualified for the Europa League. Since Lyon finished higher in the French league, they receive priority over Palace to participate in the competition.
John Harris, a co-owner of Crystal Palace, is willing to buy out John Textor's shares to resolve this issue. Harris currently owns 18% of the club, while Textor owns 43%. If the purchase goes through, it would allow Palace to join the Europa League.
However, it's reported that Textor is looking for a higher amount than Harris' offer. UEFA is expected to make a final decision on the matter at the end of June.
