Cissé made his senior debut last season and played in 10 Bundesliga matches, scoring one goal.
Before joining LASK, he came through the youth ranks at Real Ávila in Spain and was born in Senegal.
Aston Villa has reportedly paid £4m to sign Cissé, who is considered a promising young player.
